Jewish Heritage Europe

During October 2017 author and historian Rachel Lichtenstein, who works part-time at Sandys Row Synagogue as our archivist and education officer, went to Venice to attend an International Conference JEWISH HERITAGE TOURISM IN THE DIGITAL AGE organized by Beit Venezia, Jewish Heritage Europe and the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe. Over 90 delegates attended the conference from Jewish institutions across Europe. In the future we hope to develop the basement of Sandys Row into a heritage site so invaluable contacts were made and ideas gathered during this 3day event. After the conference Rachel published this article on Sandys Row Synagogue on the Jewish Heritage Europe website
