Weddings & Simchas

The historic and atmospheric Sandys Row Synagogue is available for Weddings and other Simchas (including Bat Mitzvahs and Bar Mitzvahs). The unique combination of a magnificent setting and a central location in the heart of fashionable Spitalfields, within walking distance of the City of London, makes Sandys Row, the oldest still functioning orthodox synagogue in London, the perfect place for a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. Sandys Row Synagogue is famous for its beautiful Dutch inspired nineteenth century interior, which was designed by the well-known synagogue architect Nathan Solomon and has an English Heritage Grade II listing. The interior of the sanctuary remains practically unchanged since the synagogue was consecrated in 1870, creating the perfect back-drop for your wedding. The building is close to all the major Central London venues, reception halls and hotels and we have our own Rabbi Mendy Korer (of Chabad) who can conduct the service for you under the chuppah. We would be delighted to help you with any questions or advice to help you plan your celebration. Please contact the administrator for further details.

‚ÄúSandys Row Synagogue was the perfect venue for our special day, it was amazing to be in such a historically important and stunningly beautiful building and we were made to feel so special and welcomed. I would highly recommend Sandys Row as a wedding venue, there is nowhere else like it in London.’ (Louisa Rose, who was married in Sandys Row in 2017)
